When we say family, we mean “immediate nuclear family” and not “extended family.” But for the sake of clarity, just in case you are wanting to stick Cousin Joe, Uncle Fred, “Sister" Judy (from your small group Bible study), and Neighbor Natalie from next door into your family application - the definition of a family is a group of individuals connected through common parents. Technically, it doesn’t need to be a biological connection, or even a legal adoption connection, but if the individual in question looks to your family as the primary means by which they receive practical, monetary, emotional, and spiritual care - then that’s good enough for us - you can certainly include them. However, Cousin Joe, Uncle Fred, “Sister” Judy, and Neighbor Natalie will need to apply separately.
Families are able to join at our family rate, but will be expected to stay off-campus while here in Windsor. If family desires to stay on-campus, the initial price of $1950 would cover 1 on-campus family member. Every additional family member that desires to stay on campus would cost $200/ea. So, a family of 3 would cost $2350, a family of 6 $2950, a family of 10 $3750. Note - infants and very young children (under the age of 4) who are sleeping in a portable crib and not eating regular meals on campus will not be charged. If there are any additional questions about whether a young child can qualify as a “free” person, please contact us.
Unfortunately not, since we do not have family housing available on our campus. However, the men/boys could stay together in the guys' dorm while the women/girls could stay together in the girls' dorm.
That’s very possible. Our home church, The Church at Ellerslie, loves families and loves sharing their homes with hungry Christians. Of course, there is no guarantee that there will be a family with a home available during your stay, but, we would certainly be willing to check for you. If you are interested in exploring this possibility, please contact us.
We believe that the truths shared through this program can impact your entire family! While the material is spiritually deep and Biblically rich, we have had students as young as eleven or twelve participate in the sessions with great success. It all depends on where your child is at in their ability to focus and absorb spiritual truth. Younger children are also welcome to sit in on the sessions and do other activities if they are not quite old enough to take in what is being taught. (We do ask that any children who are crying or being a distraction be taken out for the sake of all the students participating.) In short, all ages are welcome to attend the sessions, and it is up to you as the parent as to the level of participation you would like your children to have. The 90 days of follow-up sessions online is another great way to involve your entire family in these life-changing messages; whether you watch the online sessions together, or simply use the truths you are learning to disciple your children in a way that works for your family. During the 90 days of follow up training, each family will have a designated mentor who can help guide them through the material, answer questions, and be a spiritual support to them during the program.
Lunch is included with a family registration for families who are staying off campus. For other meals, off-campus families will be on their own. (Note: We do offer gluten and dairy free options with every meal on campus, but are unable to accommodate additional dietary restrictions, so please plan accordingly. You are welcome to bring your own food to campus if you have special dietary restrictions or preferences.)
The registration process is the same for both families and individuals. Once you register as a family, you will be contacted by our staff and sent an additional form to fill out so that we can get the details necessary to register your entire family for the training (ie. number of family members participating, genders, ages, and whether these family members are intending to stay on-campus or off-campus).
We would love to answer them! Please feel free to contact us at [email protected] and a member of our team will respond within 1-2 business days.

Ellerslie’s Bravehearted Personal Discipleship Programs offer an in-depth, set-apart season to focus on Jesus Christ and become grounded in Gospel-centered living. Both the Basic and the Deluxe Programs are life-changing and comprehensive, similar to a season at a Bible college or missionary training school, but with an epic, Gospel-centered focus! Our online courses with Eric and Leslie Ludy are topic-specific courses that you can take at home (or with a small group) at your own pace. They don’t include the in-depth foundation training of our Basic and Deluxe programs, nor the personal mentoring and training from our staff. They are more like online Bible studies on practical topics such as relationships, marriage, prayer, and practical Christian living. Our online courses are a great option for those who do not have the time or money for our more in-depth training programs. To get a feel for our online courses, take Eric Ludy’s free online course on discipleship now, or visit the list of Leslie’s Ludy’s monthly Set Apart online courses for women.
The quintessential attribute of the students that attend the Bravehearted Personal Discipleship programs is raw spiritual hunger for more of God. Students come because they believe there is more to the Christian faith than what they have personally seen and experienced. And they want more. They dare to ask for more. Though many of our students fall into the collegiate demographic, every semester also has married couples, families, pastors, and elder Christians in a season of transition. We have students of all ages, representing nearly every conservative evangelical denomination from all across the U.S. and Canada, as well as from many other countries around the world.
During this set-apart season of discipleship training, we desire our students to encounter the majesty, loveliness, and worthiness of Jesus Christ, personally behold the efficacy of His amazing Cross-work, be wholly set free from the cyclical patterns of defeat that have encumbered their lives, and powerfully begin a dynamic spiritual growth process that turns them outward from their previous self-centered and fleshly existence, to pour out their strength in bringing life to the weak and dying around them. We want our students to know how to pray, read and study the Bible, share the Gospel, and live a triumphant Christian life with Jesus Christ at the center. Please review the curriculum details of our Basic Program for more information. You are also welcome to contact our staff with any questions, at [email protected]
