The Grand Re-Introduction

There are certain words in the Christian vocabulary that have been taken hostage by the Devil. The word Grace is one of the biggies. Some of the other notable hostages are LoveThe Holy Spirit, and Faith...

The Ludy Kiddos Release Their Very First Video

There is something powerful about the simple childlike faith of children. It is not encrusted with so much of the barnacles of modern-day nonsense floating around out there. Children hear the Truth, they believe it, and then they live it. It’s a much more simple way to do Christianity, if you ask me.

The Impossible Life

Leslie and I landed on the term “The Impossible Life” somewhere back in 2009. At that juncture I was celebrating two decades of radical pursuit of Jesus Christ, but was chagrined to freshly realize how impotent I still was in producing the Life of Christ in myself, by myself. After twenty years of hot pursuit of my King, I still was just as weak as when I started. I still couldn’t bring any power to the table. I still didn’t have anything of a heavenly deportment intrinsic to my nature. I still needed Him – desperately needed Him in order to live out this life...

Dying Well

As Christians there are a lot of things that we simply should be the best at in the whole entire world. For instance, the world should not be able to touch us when it comes to things like sheer happiness, joy, love, forgiveness, and peace...

Three Cheers for the Return of Bravehearted Thots

To understand the significance of this particular Bravehearted Thot video in my life, we need to travel back in time over seven years ago, to the very first Discipleship Training program offered on the Ellerslie campus. Fifty-five students signed up for our first semester of training, and it was an amazing start to something very special. The date was July 4th, 2010 and it was a Sunday. Leslie and I had invited all the students over to our house that night to watch the fireworks over Windsor Lake. But something went strangely awry that day. We had a downpour of rain. In fact, it rained harder that day than I had ever seen rain come down in my entire life...

It’s Begun! Ellerslie’s 1st Annual Christmas Kickstart! Don’t miss the deals!

The name is quite grand, isn’t it?

Ellerslie’s 1st Annual Christmas Kickstart.

We like to do things a bit epic around here. And so, if we are going to do a little fundraising for the ministry, we figure we might as well do it in such a way that's fun, powerful, and life-changing instead of same-ol’-same-ol’...

19 New Videos the Next 28 Days! Get Ready!

Many of you remember some of the early videos that came out of our ministry. Remember Depraved Indifference in November of 2010? Or how about The Gospel which made a huge splash when it debuted in April of 2011?

In addition to these film-styled videos, I’m hoping that some of you remember our simple-styled videos known as Bravehearted Thots. Do you remember A Call to Anguish? Or how about The Ancient War Cry? Over these past five years, our media team has continued to produce the audio backdrops for these powerful Thots, but we have been undecided as to our release method...

Eric Ludy Defies Odds - Breaks Record

You should all be impressed. I broke two long-held Ellerslie records this past Tuesday.

  1. We packed twenty-four people in the film studio all at once for a filming session. This shattered our old record of twelve.
  2. I looked more weak, skinny, and frail than I ever have before in front of a camera. I accomplished this amazing feat by sitting side-by-side with the 6-foot, 8-inch tall giant, Mike Hahn. His massive frame and bushy hair made me look like I was about 5’3” and ready to blow away with the next gust of wind. It was a gutsy maneuver on my part, don’t you think?...

Hudson Ludy’s Growth Spurt

When I married Eric Ludy I didn’t realize it at first, but I was marrying into some interesting genes. I guess Eric’s father, Winston, grew to be six foot tall by the fifth grade. That’s shockingly tall for an eleven-year-old.

Well, when our oldest son, Hudson, turned twelve this past December, he decided to take after Eric’s side of the family and grow crazy tall seemingly overnight...

Eric Ludy’s Romantic Week Away

This past week God was working in a deep and profound way in my life. Leslie and I enjoyed a getaway to sunny Southern California. For those of you who may not know, Leslie and I have six kiddos. But the unique thing about this getaway was that it was just two of us – me and Leslie. The kids were not with us. And it has been nearly thirteen years since Leslie and I got away for a week without kiddos around. So, it was a rare and precious experience.

However, where you might envision us to have enjoyed a week chock full of moonlit strolls along the beach, romantic dinners, and scenic picnics, it wasn’t quite that way. It was an amazing week, but it was amazing because it was a week full of prayer, wrestling with God, and tirelessly fighting for matters that God laid before us...

Eric and Leslie interview Lily and Rees

I love being a daddy. I’ve learned far more from being a daddy than probably any other life responsibility, multiplied by ten. For those of you who have never been a daddy, it’s not all coos, pinched cheeks, and butterfly kisses. There are a lot of moments in the grand daddy adventure that try the depths of the soul. However, that said, daddy-hood is a truly satisfying occupation. There is no amount of money, comfort, promise of fame, or position of power that could possibly get me to trade out my daddy-hood. In my six kiddos, I have wealth untold, pleasures immeasurable, and smiles that never run dry.

Eric and Philip Reminisce One Amazing Week!

We’ve had a lot of people intrigued to hear an update on how our very first week of our brand-new 100-day training went. After all, if the students (in this new model) are going to be coming to the Ellerslie campus for only one week instead of twelve weeks, that one week better be really good. And, it was. In fact, I think the description of “really good” falls a bit flat in its ability to describe it. It was deeply moving, profoundly impacting, and wholly life-altering. I think, even those of us that approached it with high expectations, were dumbfounded in what happened this past week and I think we are still laboring to find the appropriate superlatives with which to describe it....

Eric Ludy Interviews the Music Genius . . . Again

I know many of you really enjoyed last week’s video interview with Steve Rosen. And I know many of you are interested in knowing which “Steve face” turned out to be his wife’s “most-dreaded face to appear on her husband while he’s on camera.” I’m sorry to say that when Kara watched the video, to help us pin down the answer to this question, she laughed so hard that we were unable to discern the actual answer. However, we are quite certain that the “Steve face” appeared at least once in that interview. The question is, “Did you see it?” ...

Eric Ludy Interviews the Music Genius

Does the name Steve Rosen ring a bell for any of you? If not, Steve Rosen would be just fine with that. He has told me many times, “Eric, I don’t know that I feel comfortable having my name on these projects. I do this work for Jesus and not for the recognition.” He’s that sort of a guy. In fact, I’m the guy that says, “Stick his name on there! I want people to recognize what God is doing in and through this guy!” You see, sometimes, “that sort of guy” needs a guy in my position to show him off a bit. And that’s just what I’m going to do...

Eric Ludy Does Something Mischievous

Precisely 18 days ago, we were set to release our fourth and final installment of our Unauthorized Video Series. As is protocol, Nathan Johnson sent me over the final video in order to get my authorization for release. The first three Unauthorized videos in the series were stinky. But the fourth installment in the series was a train wreck. It was just plain horrible. So bad, in fact, that I declared “over my dead body” to the idea of sending it out. So, at 10:30pm the night before the official video launch of part four, I recorded an audio clip on my phone...

Meet Eric Ludy’s Funny Friend

Everyone needs a friend like Ben Price.  Ben is the sort of guy that makes you feel like gold even when you are having an iron pyrite sort of day.  He’s a world-renowned comedian from Australia, so, he does a lot of traveling. When he makes it to the U.S. he always tries to swing through Windsor, Colorado for a visit.  We do a lot of laughing when Mr. Price is in town.  But my favorite thing about Ben is his passion for the real genuine version of Christian living.  This guy loves Jesus Christ. So, when he swings through Windsor, we love to talk about Jesus together...

Eric Ludy’s Most Embarrassing Moment

Simply put, I’m married to a man who collects embarrassing moments.  That means I have the privilege of suffering the pain and humiliation right along with him – it’s an act of sacrificial love, believe me.  But in this week’s hilarious blog video, Eric shares his MOST embarrassing moment of all time – and, thankfully, it happened long before I ever knew him.

Unauthorized Video #4 - Online Video Recording

Our Bravehearted Media Team loathes poor quality productions.  So, as a means of bringing on some self-inflicted sanctification, we decided to do some productions that were . . . ahem . . . a little less than stellar.  It’s funny, because the amount of views on these cheesy productions have been more than a lot of the high quality projects that we have produced.  Figure that.  I think people just like to see the human side of things.  Oh, and the bloopers at the conclusion of them I think have warmed a few hearts as well.

Unauthorized Video #3 - App Development

I don’t remember who it was, but someone on our Bravehearted Media Team thought making this Unauthorized Series was a grand idea.  Brandon White, was that you?  Well, anyway, it was Nathan Johnson and I that got stuck with this project and all of the embarrassment that comes with starring in a low-budget production.  In light of all that difficulty, I’ve pondered the fact that I likely will be an in-demand actor for some up-and-coming B-movies after all is said and done and people witness, through this unparalleled four part video series, my dynamic presence on film.  Hmmm.  Can you say, “change in career?”...

Unauthorized Video #2 - Curriculum Development

Exciting news! Our next “unauthorized video” is ready for viewing!  Minutes ago I sat down at a coffee shop, put on my head phones and pressed the play button. And while the audio  and video quality stinks and I once again look like a muppet, I really enjoyed it!  What this video lacks in quality it makes up for with intriguing content and a heap of funny bloopers at the end...

Unauthorized Video #1 - a Behind-the-Scenes Peek into our New Training Model!

We have a fun video for you. When Leslie saw it she laughed out loud and said I looked like a muppet. Um, well, that’s encouraging. Anyway, long and short the video isn’t very high quality and my body looks strangely distorted in it, but that’s all part of the fun. It’s the first installment of our “unauthorized” series...
